A conversation that amplifies African American scholastic achievements while examining the experience of Black people in Academia. This conversation will discuss the value of Black scholarship and discuss the lack of diversity that exists in higher education. This panel discussion will seek to create discourse on the decolonization of academic spaces, allowing for higher education to become more diverse and inclusive.
This conversation includes alumni and academic professionals that share their experiences within higher education and the workforce. This panel discussion is moderated by Dr. LaShan Simpson, a faculty member in the Bagley School of Engineering at MSU.
