Certificate of Completion

African American Studies offers a Certificate of Completion to students who are accepted into the graduate program. Only students enrolled in a masters or doctoral program at Mississippi State University are eligible for enrollment in the Certificate of Completion Program. The curriculum includes course work, teaching, research, and community service. The award of the certificate of completion is not approved by the graduate school at the university. Students enrolled in the certificate program are eligible to apply for a teaching assistantship in African American Studies.
