Jason Morgan Ward received his Bachelor of Arts degree in history from Duke University and his Ph.D. in history from Yale University. His research focuses on racial politics in the twentieth-century South, and his current project examines southern white opposition to civil rights from the New Deal era to the Brown decision. His work has appeared in The Journal of Southern History, Agricultural History, and The Virginia Magazine of History and Biography.
